The city of Bridgeport is investing in its future by focusing on education.

Five new pre-K through 8 schools soon will be built and other schools will undergo renovations. The schools that are being replaced have served the children of Bridgeport for nearly 100 years but no longer meet the needs of a 21st century education.

New schools are an obvious sign that a city cares about its students, its teachers, its neighborhoods, and its future. Bridgeport’s new schools are being designed to serve as community centers where children learn and play, neighbors congregate, and families enjoy time together. These beautiful buildings will promote civic pride and encourage others in the community to improve their properties as well.

By working together, Bridgeport’s leaders have launched an effort that will serve as a catalyst for ongoing change throughout the city’s many neighborhoods for many years to come. This is a new beginning for the city of Bridgeport.
